About
Soumini worked in academic research and corporate medical laboratories as a Healthcare Scientist for 13 years but quit her career because of burnout and adrenal fatigue.
The confusion that arose from the sudden retirement and her background in experiencing expansive states of consciousness since childhood pushed her towards spirituality more deeply than ever before. Through these explorations, she realized that she was identified with ‘maya’, the ‘illusion’ or the ‘mental matrix’ that made her think that she needed “fixing”. She realized that she was trying to “heal” a projection of herself – a maya identity – which felt like an irony in itself. She realized that a conceptual self, which was born out of the human conditioning and the socialization process, was trying to heal another aspect of itself. Underneath all these narratives, she had a direct experience of her true nature – her core essence, a simple presence – the same consciousness that is individualized in every being in this universe.
Instead of healing, controlling or manipulating herself into a healed state, she learnt to stay with the discomfort that arose whenever old stored traumas, old thoughtforms, old emotions and old energies came up to the surface. She soon started to experience the peace that follows this practice. Building capacity to stay with oneself by not dissociating from the physical body and allowing discomfort by surrendering to the presence within is the key. Dis-identifying with the thoughts and embodying the presence is what she facilitates in her online meditations and workshops now.
About Radical Self-Recalibration
Radical Self Re-Calibration is a process of calibrating and re-calibrating one’s internal awareness to be aligned with the conscious presence within oneself every single present moment as the moment appears and disappears.
This uses a person’s ability and freewill to remember to surrender to the present moment again and again so new neural pathways are developed within one’s being to allow the processes to occur effortlessly over time.
The process of surrender that is being spoken about here is not about resigning to one’s fate or accepting defeat. Rather, it is the process of giving up resistance to FEEL, which is an integral part of operating as an embodied human BE-ing.
Radical Self Re-Calibration helps hone the skills of intuitive discernment so one can start to identify if the action that is arising in the present moment is a result of conscious alignment with the presence within or if it is a result of being identified with the conditioned-self (ego) that operates on the mental matrix system (maya).
Radical Self Re-Calibration is not about fighting the mind or the thoughts. This practice is not about going into trance states to explore the ‘Absolute’ in the cosmos. This is the practice of embodied presence by staying very present, very awake and very conscious – to connect with the ‘Absolute’ within oneself, non-judgementally allowing thoughts, emotions and energies to be present as well.
Radical Self Re-Calibration is inspired by the teachings of Sri Ramana Maharshi, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Eckhart Tolle, Maharishikaa Preeti and several other ancient teachers including the 18 Tamil Siddhars and Jesus of Nazareth.
